India was an English colony for over 300 years, leaving a significant mark on English culinary culture. Did you know that, according to Indians, the best Indian restaurants in the world are in Great Britain? This time, we will explore what is cooked in these restaurants and how Western influences have shaped the dishes. We'll follow a Western dining sequence: starting with soup, followed by two types of curry. Our main star will be Chicken Tikka Masala, the most British Indian classic, and our other main dish will be a veggie balti, a vegetable curry that's less overcooked, served with cumin rice. To finish, we'll have the iconic dessert: Mango Lassi.
